This Privacy Policy explains how BBS 24 HOUR LEARNING CENTER collects information, why the information is collected, how it is used, who may see it and how it is protected. The policy covers the website at bbsangels.com, the front desk at our learning corner, the messages we receive by phone and email, and the records we keep while a student uses our study bays, tutoring circles, family care desk, homework clinics, reading nook and pickup log. We have written the policy in plain language so that families can read it without a lawyer at the table. Where a term looks technical we explain it in the sentence that follows. The developer named on this site is BB Learning, and BB Learning supports the technical side of the systems described here. Please read the whole policy before sharing information with us, because the sections work together and a single section on its own may not tell the full story.
1. Who We Are
BBS 24 HOUR LEARNING CENTER is a learning centre based at 1823 Carrollton Villa Rica Hwy, Villa Rica - 30180-4902, United States (US). We run an angel corner of study bays, tutoring circles, family care desks, homework clinics, reading sessions and pickup logs for the students and households of the surrounding area. In this policy the words we, us and our refer to BBS 24 HOUR LEARNING CENTER. The word you refers to any person who visits our website, contacts our front desk or uses our learning corner, including a parent or guardian acting for a student.
The developer that supports our website and the technical side of our learning systems is BB Learning. BB Learning builds and maintains the tools that help our desk keep records, send messages and protect information. BB Learning does not sell the information that passes through those tools, and it acts on the instructions of BBS 24 HOUR LEARNING CENTER. The company name, the developer name and the address above are the official details for any question about this policy.
Our contact points are the email address administration@bbsangels.com and the phone number +14198216014. A written note reaches the family care desk during business hours and a guide can arrange a call when an email raises a question that is easier to answer by voice. We try to answer every privacy question in clear language within a sensible time.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few broad groups. The first group is contact information, such as a parent name, a mailing address, an email address, a phone number and the name of a student. The second group is enrolment and scheduling information, such as the services a student uses, the hours of a standing seat, the tutoring round a student joins and the pickup people named on a household record. The third group is learning information, such as the subject worked on in a tutoring circle, the notes a tutor writes after a round, the homework covered in a clinic and the books a student takes from the reading nook.
The fourth group is payment and billing information for families that pay for a service. We keep the record of what was paid and when, and we rely on a payment provider to handle card details so that full card numbers do not sit on our own systems. The fifth group is technical information gathered by the website, such as the browser type, the pages visited and the general region of a visitor. The sixth group is safety information, such as the handwritten pickup log, the record of a late pickup and any note about a student who must only be released to a named person.
We ask families to share only what is needed for the corner to run well. A parent does not have to tell us more than the front desk needs to place a student in a seat, to match a tutoring round and to keep the pickup log accurate. If a family volunteers extra details, such as a medical note or a learning plan from a school, we treat that detail with the same care as the rest of the record and we use it only for the purpose the family had in mind.
3. How We Collect Information
Most of the information we hold comes directly from a family. A parent fills in a form at the family care desk, sends an email to administration@bbsangels.com, speaks with a guide on +14198216014 or uses the contact form on this website. A guide may write a short note during a conversation and later enter that note into the household record. A tutor writes the note after a tutoring round, and a guide on the pickup desk writes the line that records a student leaving the corner.
A smaller share of the information comes from the website itself. When a visitor loads a page, the server records the technical details needed to deliver the page and to keep the site secure. If a visitor uses the contact form, the details typed into the form are passed to the visitor email program so that the visitor can send the message to the front desk. We do not quietly copy the form contents onto our own servers unless the visitor chooses to send the email.
Some information may come from a school, a tutor or another learning service when a family asks us to coordinate support. We accept such information only where the family has asked for the coordination and where the information is relevant to the learning corner. We never ask a school to send a full record when a short summary would do, and we do not go looking for information that the family has not chosen to share.
4. Why We Use Information
We use information to run the learning corner. That means placing a student in a seat, matching a student to a tutoring round, arranging a homework clinic, preparing a reading session and keeping the pickup log accurate. We use contact information to answer a question, to confirm a booking, to send a short update about a session and to tell a family when a schedule changes. We use learning information to help a guide pick up where a previous session ended so that a student does not have to repeat the same ground twice.
We use information to keep the corner safe. The pickup log, the list of trusted pickup people and any note about a student who must only be released to a named adult all exist so that every student leaving the corner is seen and named. We use information to keep our own records accurate, to handle billing and to meet the record keeping duties that apply to a learning centre in the United States. We also use information in an aggregated form, with names removed, to understand how the corner is used and to plan improvements to the desks, the lights and the reading nook.
We do not use information to make automated decisions about a student. A guide, a tutor or the family care desk always makes the decision about a seat, a round or a clinic. A computer may help the desk store a schedule, but it does not decide who gets a place at the corner. Families can ask how any decision about their student was reached, and a guide will explain it in plain words.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
In the United States we process information where we have a legitimate interest in running the learning corner, where we need the information to provide a service a family has requested, where we need it to meet a legal duty, and where a family has given consent. A legitimate interest means a reasonable purpose that a family would expect from a learning centre, such as keeping a safe pickup log or answering a question sent by email. Providing a service covers the details needed to hold a seat and to run a tutoring round.
Where a family has given consent, such as consent for a photograph at a reading session or consent to receive a newsletter, the family can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not undo the work already done on the basis of the consent, but it stops future use for that purpose. A withdrawal can be sent to administration@bbsangels.com or spoken to a guide at the family care desk, and we will record it clearly so that the change takes effect for every guide on the floor.
If a family lives in a place with its own privacy law, such as a state with a comprehensive privacy statute, we honour the rights that law gives. Where two rules disagree we apply the rule that gives the family the stronger protection. We do not require a family to give up a right in order to use the learning corner, and we do not treat a request about privacy as a reason to move a student to the back of a queue.
6. Privacy for Children
Many of the people who use the learning corner are children, so we take extra care with their information. A student record is created only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We collect the student details that a seat, a tutoring round, a clinic or a pickup requires, and we do not collect more than that. We do not run advertising aimed at students, we do not build a profile of a student for sale and we do not use student information to train a commercial product.
We follow the standards of the Children Online Privacy Protection Act where they apply, which means that we seek verifiable consent from a parent before collecting personal information from a child under thirteen where the law requires it. A parent can review the information we hold about a child, ask for a correction and ask for the information to be deleted, subject to the records we must keep for safety and for the law. A parent can reach the family care desk at administration@bbsangels.com or on +14198216014 to make such a request.
Guides and tutors are trained to keep student conversations private. A guide does not share the details of a student record with another family, a tutor does not post student work in a public place and the reading nook keeps its book choices and its reading notes within the household. If a student writes something that concerns a guide, the guide follows the safety steps that our corner has set out and speaks first to the family care desk.
9. Service Providers
Like most learning centres we rely on a few providers for the tools that keep the corner running. These may include a company that hosts the website, a company that runs the email service, a company that provides a payment gateway and a company that helps with a scheduling tool. A service provider may see information only to the extent needed to deliver the tool, and each provider is expected to protect the information and to use it for no other purpose.
We choose providers with care. Before a provider is added, we look at the way it protects information, the way it stores data and the way it handles a request to delete a record. We keep a list of providers and the information each one touches so that a guide can explain the arrangement to a family. If a provider stops being suitable we remove it and arrange for any information to be returned or deleted.
The developer BB Learning may access a system where a fault or an urgent security issue makes that access necessary. BB Learning works under the instruction of BBS 24 HOUR LEARNING CENTER, follows a written confidentiality duty and does not use access for a purpose that is outside the support of our learning systems. A family can ask which provider touches a particular record and a guide will explain the chain in plain words.
10. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only for as long as a clear purpose needs it. A short question that does not lead to a booking is deleted after a few months. A household record is kept while a student uses the corner and for a short period after the last visit so that a family can return without starting from the beginning. A pickup log is kept for a longer period because the safety of a student may depend on the record, and because a record of who collected a student can settle a question months later.
A billing record is kept for as long as the law and good accounting require. A learning note is kept while it helps a tutor pick up the thread of a student and is deleted when the thread has ended or when a family asks for it to go. Where a family asks for deletion we act on the request, subject to the records we must keep for safety, billing or the law. When a record is deleted it is removed from the live system on a regular schedule and is not quietly kept aside for another purpose.
If the learning corner changes hands or closes, we will tell families how their records will be handled. The new operator would be bound by this policy or by a policy that gives at least the same protection, and we would not hand a student record to a buyer who did not agree to those terms. A family would always have the chance to ask for a copy of the information we hold before a transfer.
11. How We Protect Information
We protect information with a mix of physical and technical steps. Paper records such as the pickup log sit in a locked drawer when the desk is closed. A digital record is reached only through an account that belongs to a named guide, and each guide has a separate account so that a shared password is never needed. A record is backed up on a regular schedule and a backup is protected in the same way as the live record. A guide who leaves the corner has access removed on the day of departure.
We limit access to the people who need it. A tutor sees the record for a participating student and no more. The family care desk sees the household record that helps it answer a question. The developer BB Learning sees a system only where a fault or a security issue makes that access necessary, and any such access is logged. We train guides to recognise a phishing message, to lock a screen when they step away and to report a lost device at once.
No system can promise perfect safety, and we do not claim that ours can. What we promise is that we take the risk seriously, that we review our steps, that we keep our software current and that we tell a family promptly if a breach puts their information at risk. A family can write to administration@bbsangels.com with a security concern and the note will reach the person who can act on it.
12. Your Privacy Rights
A family has rights over the information that belongs to it and to its student. A family can ask what information we hold, ask for a copy, ask for a correction and ask for a deletion. A family can ask us to stop using information for a purpose that is not needed to run a service, and a family can withdraw a consent that it gave earlier. A family can also ask us to explain a decision about a seat, a round or a clinic in plain words.
We do not charge a family for a reasonable request, and we do not treat a request as a reason to close a seat. We may ask for proof of identity so that we do not hand a student record to the wrong person. We try to answer within thirty days and we will tell a family if a request needs more time and why. A request can be sent to administration@bbsangels.com or spoken to a guide at the family care desk, and the guide will write it down so that it reaches the right person.
If a family is not satisfied with our answer it can write again and say why. We will look at the request again and reply in writing. A family that still is not satisfied may have a right to contact a state attorney general or another consumer protection office, and we will not stand in the way of that step.
13. Access and Correction
Access means that a family can see what we hold. On a request we prepare a short summary that lists the contact details, the services used, the sessions attended and the pickup people named on a household record. If a family wants a copy of a specific note we can provide it where the note concerns the family own student and where giving the copy does not put another person at risk.
Correction means that a family can put right a detail that is wrong. If a phone number is out of date, if a pickup person should be added or removed, or if a name is spelled the wrong way, we will correct the record as soon as a guide confirms the change. We keep a short note of each correction so that the record is clear about when and why it changed. A correction does not erase the earlier entry from an audit trail that we must keep for safety, but the trail shows that the current detail is the corrected one.
If a family asks for deletion and we must keep a record for a safety or legal duty, we will explain which record and which duty. In many cases we can delete most of a record and keep only the small part that the duty requires. A family will be told what remains and how long it will stay.
14. Marketing and Messages
We send updates that help a family use the corner, such as a change to a tutoring round, a note about an upcoming clinic or a reminder about a pickup. We may also send a short newsletter about the reading nook or a new study bay if a family has asked for it. We do not send a marketing message to a family that has not asked for one, and we do not sell a contact list to another business.
A family can stop a marketing message at any time by writing to administration@bbsangels.com, by calling +14198216014 or by using a link in the message where one is offered. Stopping a marketing message does not stop the messages that are needed to run a service, such as a change to a confirmed pickup or a safety note. We keep a simple record of a preference so that a guide does not send a message the family has asked us to stop.
We do not run a text message campaign that a family did not ask for, and we do not share a phone number with another business for marketing. A message from the corner will always name BBS 24 HOUR LEARNING CENTER so that a family knows who is writing.
15. Pickup Records and Safety
The pickup log is one of the most important records we keep. A guide writes the hour, the student and the person who came to collect the student, and the guide watches the door until the ride is at the curb. The log exists so that every student leaving the corner is seen and named. It is kept in careful ink, reviewed at the end of every night and stored in a locked drawer when the desk is closed.
A household record may name more than one trusted pickup person. A guide will ask for the name against the log before releasing a student to a person who is not the usual pickup. If a pickup runs late, a guide waits with the student in the reading nook, where the lamp stays on. The record of a late pickup is used to improve the evening routine and is not shared beyond the family care desk unless the law requires it.
Where a safety note concerns a student, the note is held only by the guides who need it. We do not post a safety note in a public place, we do not discuss it with another family and we do not use it for a purpose beyond the safety of the student. A family can ask what is held on a safety note and a guide will explain the arrangement in plain words.
16. Third Party Links
Our website may link to a page that another organisation runs, such as a payment gateway or a school resource. A link is there to help a family, and it does not mean that we control the other page. When a family follows a link it leaves the corner, and the privacy policy of the other organisation applies to what happens next. We choose links with care, and we do not link to a page that we believe collects information unfairly from a child.
If a family follows a link and is asked for information, the family should read the privacy notice on that page before sharing anything. A guide can explain what a link is for and can offer a different route if the family prefers to reach a service by phone or by email. We are not responsible for the way another organisation handles information, and we do not sell a family details to a linked organisation.
If a link no longer works or points to a page that has changed in a way that worries a family, a note to administration@bbsangels.com will reach the person who keeps the website up to date. We review the links on the site from time to time and we remove a link that no longer fits the corner.
17. International Visitors
Our learning corner sits in the United States and most of the information we hold stays in the United States. A visitor from another country may reach our website, and a family that moves abroad may keep in touch with the desk. When information travels across a border we take steps to keep it protected, and we rely on a provider that meets a recognised standard for the transfer. A family can ask how a transfer is protected and a guide will explain the steps.
If a family lives in a place with its own privacy law, such as a country in Europe or a state with a comprehensive statute, we honour the rights that law gives. Those rights may include the right to object to a use, the right to portability of a record and the right to ask for a human review of an automated decision. Where the corner relies on a family consent for a transfer, the family can withdraw that consent and we will discuss another arrangement.
Where a family needs a written agreement for a transfer the family care desk can prepare one with the help of BB Learning. The agreement would set out which information travels, why it travels and how it is protected, and it would sit alongside this policy rather than replace it.
18. Changes to This Policy
We review this policy from time to time. A review may follow a new service, a new provider, a change in the law or a question from a family that shows a section could be clearer. When a change is small, such as a clearer sentence, we update the page and change the date near the top. When a change is significant, such as a new way of sharing information, we tell families before the change takes effect and we explain what it means for the corner.
A family can always find the current version of the policy on this page. We keep an earlier version on file so that a guide can explain what changed if a family asks. A family that keeps its own copy should check the date near the top against the date of the copy to see whether the policy has moved on. We do not use a change to the policy to reduce a protection that a family already relies on without telling the family first.
If a change would need a fresh consent from a family, we will ask for that consent in a clear message and we will not treat silence as consent. The family can keep using the corner under the earlier arrangement while it decides, and a guide will answer any question the change raises.
19. Complaints and Questions
If a family has a question about privacy, a worry about the way a record is kept or a complaint about the answer it has received, the family care desk is the first place to go. Write to administration@bbsangels.com or call +14198216014 and a guide will take the details. A written note helps because it gives the desk a record to work from, and a guide will tell the family when to expect a reply.
We look at every complaint and we reply in writing. Where we made a mistake we say so, we correct the record and we explain the step we have taken to keep the mistake from happening again. A complaint is not held against a family and does not change the way a student is treated at the corner. The developer BB Learning can also be reached through the same front desk where a technical fault has bearing on a privacy question.
If a family is still not satisfied after our reply, the family may have a right to contact a consumer protection office or a state attorney general. We will not stand in the way of that step. The aim of every complaint is the same: a clear answer, a corrected record and a corner that a family can trust with the quiet hours of its student.
